‘Twas A Few Nights Before Christmas!
Scavenger Hunt Sunday is almost here! So I’m sharing this with Ashley Sisk’s blog –Scavenger Hunt Sunday and Mosaic Monday. By the way, since I missed last weeks hunt I didn’t realize the prompts I was using were from last week! So now I’m going to try and use the same pix with different prompts 🙂
JOY
My own Santa (above) brings me joy. DH was Santa many years ago and I was his favorite elf. And our sweet grand-daughter, Stephanie is a great joy (below).
Tangled
What a tangle! Here’s a Santa that talks so grumpy he makes you laugh! And hanging a tangled up gingerbread and a snowlady weren’t too easy!
Silver – this is the best that I could do for silver
Guilty Pleasure
From the archives – eating a whole cake would definitely be a guilty pleasure!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday
The prompts – or words – for this Sunday in the Scavenger Hunt are: Monochromatic; Starts with the letter; Upside Down; Hair; and Soft.
Monochromatic
This is my grandfather, William Henry Bolles, when he was 21 years old.
Starts With The Letter – A
Because I love angels. This has been on my back kitchen door for about five years – one of those Christmas magnetic-type stickums to glass.
Upside Down
This little fellow was attached to the screen of my upstairs bedroom window when the weather was cool. He would be there early in the morning, sleep all day and be gone at dusk
Hair
My nephew, the musician – I emailed him to get permission to use his pix, which he gave me. And he sent me some pictures of his cat, Woody – I think this one is hilarious! Good going, Joe!
Soft

Sunday Sketch and a Tanka
Hello sketchers! This is a drawing of my favorite mug to drink from. It’s definitely not as neat as it could be (computer cleaned it up a bit – but, don’t do as I do, do as I say! Neatness counts! When my husband sized it up he asked why the top of the cup was a different shape than the bottom – and that made me scrutinize it closer. Yep, even with my cock-eyes (one sees things slightly lower – or higher – than the other eye) I could see the curvature was wrong. So I covered it up with – you guessed it – white-out. But I really did want to participate today so, here it is. And here is a tanka to go with it, expressing how I feel about my little angel:
Soft sweet angelic
She’s always there with a smile
Bringing me comfort
Sad angry or hurt inside
Matters not she brings me peace
