The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
The rustle of the trees
Shook the quiet of the day,
When much to my surprise
Way up high in the sky
Came the mighty sound
With a hearty high-ho!
My love came swooping
From the trees
And fell upon his knees.
Taking my hand lovingly,
Saying “Please, Fly away with me now,
I be your Tarzan
You be my Jane
Sweet music we make
While lying awake
In the treetop of love
With the sky above,
Shining stars twinkling,
Moonlight falling on your hair,
Face oh so fair!
Then I nodded yes,
And with great finesse
He gave a wild whoop,
Grabbed hold of the vine
And away we did fly to the
Top of the sky, making love
To the tune of Cheetah’s sweet croon.
Beauty is fresh and as lovely
As be the flowers in springtime,
As they wobble their heads gently in the breeze,
As they slowly climb their way to the stars,
For only to see the purple aplomb
Of all the angels ‘round the lilacs fair.
Centered there amongst the stars
Is a d’lightful hand of jubilant giants
Of molded mounds of marigolds,
Sitting round the echoless sounds
Of daisies pleasantly pleased with
Their effortless ease in growing
And being the forefront of things.
As all the flowers perk alike
To the stars that be aglow with light,
Sifting and seeding the sky with love,
And showing all the flowers that be:
Now, yes now comes the time to sing,
As each little flower learns to bring
Its radiance of love to all above,
And to shower about their fragrance fair.
In sharing with nature their heavenly air.
The Frog Serenade
As the first four frogs sat sitting ‘round the pond,
And the fifth frog sat sitting ‘round the fire,
Along came a little spider spinning as she went
A shiny purple web all crooked and bent.
Frog number five jumped to his feet and hopped
Straight forward, nee-deep! nee-deep!
Then the first four frogs joined in as they came
Upon frog number five doing the same.
Singing a song to the itty bitty spider
As he weaved his web all crooked and bent
To a froggy tune heavenly sent:
Nee-deep! Nee-deep! Nee-deep!
Iona Abbey is located in the Inner Hebrides Islands on the Isle of Iona on the west side of Scotland. It is one of Scotland’s most historic and sacred sites, well worth seeing. It is very peaceful and beautiful. For more history on the buildings and crosses read here.
St. John’s Cross
Right behind the St. John’s cross is the St. Columba’s Shrine
Inside St. Columba’s Shrine
Here are some views inside the abbey.
I enjoyed this tour of Iona and Mull the best of all my sightseeing here in Scotland. Here is a view of the Forth Bridge and building of the new one on our way home.
Shadow Shot Sunday2
Iona Nunnery is on the Isle of Iona in the Inner Hebrides Islands in Scotland. If you like medieval ruins this one is simply awe-inspiring. Here are some photographs from my visit. I also visited the Iona Abbey, but I will save those for another day.
That world out there stays the same,
It’s me inside that goes insane.
The world goes on no matter what,
But me inside, no matter what,
Never stays the same – or so it seems.
As I wrestle with the many dreams
That flicker, flash, then fall apart..

Laughter I hear, do ye?
Laughter I feel, do ye? Where?
Around the trees and around the bees,
As they busily busy themselves with the trees.
Do ye know what I mean?
As the laughter wells bigger and bigger,
It seems most impossible to straiten oneself,
In the proper perspective
Of one in good health.
Who could understand the lifeless door of ease
As each little couplet comes across the
Channel in need?
In need of what? Laughter I say,
For who can be taken
Through life’s dreary door
If nowhere there be
Any laughter to make
The journey agree
