Wordle 400 –

Wordle 400 for The Sunday Whirl

I used eight out of twelve prompt words (those in italics)

Stella crept up slowly to the shack
Wings of her bird flapping wildly.
Hush Bird, you’ll give us away
With your flapping and crap!

Up the stairs she went with bird
Upon her back.
She tiptoed to the window and
peered into the glass,
There sitting on the stool with
His arm around her ass
Was her two-timing BF and BFF.
Gawd!

Stunned and shocked she watched
Them pop their shots, down their
Drinks and lick their salt.
Just then bird pecks on the windowpane,

black crow bird

Gives a couple of caws and flies into a tree.
BF and BFF look up just in time to see
Bird fly off.
Uh oh, me thinks we’ve reached our limit!

And at that Stella turned and ran as fast
As she could till she reached the spring
Jumped into her car and headed westward
To the mountain ridge of glory.

Diary of a Frustrated Writer

That world out there stays the same,
It’s me inside that goes insane.

The world goes on no matter what,
But me inside, no matter what,
Never stays the same – or so it seems.

As I wrestle with the many dreams
That flicker, flash, then fall apart..

Laughter I hear, do ye?

Laughter I feel, do ye? Where?

Around the trees and around the bees,

As they busily busy themselves with the trees.

Do ye know what I mean?

As the laughter wells bigger and bigger,

It seems most impossible to straiten oneself,

In the proper perspective

Of one in good health.

Who could understand the lifeless door of ease

As each little couplet comes across the

Channel  in need?

In need of what?  Laughter I say,

For who can be taken

Through life’s dreary door

If nowhere there be

Any laughter to make

The journey agree
